How does it work?

Companion Art Therapy is meant to be short-term.

It starts with a phone intake with the caregiver, followed by five in person art therapy sessions near Arlington, MA.

In these sessions You, Your person with dementia and I will work on art together.

Learn from a Dementia Art Therapist:

  • Observe an art therapist creatively engaging your person experiencing challenging symptoms due to changes in their brain

  • Successfully engage the person you’re caring for in session

  • Private feedback sessions via phone

By observing me creatively connect with your person, you’ll have the ability to take notes and see how a therapist works when dementia symptoms are in the room.

Feedback sessions go over the why and how.

Integrate your skills with your person as an art therapist observes with a therapeutic eye, providing support and feedback for positive creative interaction.
